About Me
I’m Jack Bowen, a professional boxer based in Brisbane. My career has spanned over sixteen years where I have consistently maintained hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. Over the course of my journey, I’ve fought in more than 80 amateur bouts and am currently 11-1 as a professional. Despite the highs and lows of boxing, every fight, every round, has taught me something new and driven me closer to my ultimate goal.
I first stepped into the ring at the age of thirteen, guided by my long-time trainer, Gareth Williams. From day one, boxing became more than just a sport to me—it was a path to challenge myself, grow stronger, and prove that with enough grit and determination, anything is possible. Representing Australia at the World Championships was one of the proudest moments of my career, but that was just the beginning.
Turning professional was a natural next step in my journey, and it’s where I’m fully focused on my childhood dream of becoming a World Champion.
Life lessons
Since walking through The Boxing Shop gym doors as a wide-eyed thirteen year old kid to the point I am at now, I can say that boxing has taught me how to be resilient and developed my self-confidence profoundly.
Throughout my years competing and chasing my dreams in boxing I have developed core values of respect and self-discipline, allowing me to grow into a person I am proud of.
Beyond Boxing
Outside of boxing I am an ambassador for the 'Boxing Beyond Barriers' program. For five years I worked alongside program founder Gareth Williams before going full-time in my professional boxing pursuit.
This community work allows me to maintain connection with the youth, and positively influence them as a credible role model.
I aim to equip all youth participants with a strong sense of self worth, respect, discipline and encouraging guidance in their lives.
